Woodstocks Feb. 6, 2019 (Wednesday) from 5-9pm: Mention SACNAS upon ordering and 25% will go to the UCSC SACNAS Chapter.

Interested in being a science fair judge?
Volunteers needed!


 Students have worked hard on their projects either by themselves or collaboratively in a group. Anyone with a background or interest in science is encouraged to reach out and participate. The students are always excited that local scientists take the time to come out and see their work. You're participation has a huge impact on these kids! 

Mar Vista Elementary School Science Fair

Pajaro Valley Unified School District is excited to have students participating in school Science & Engineering Fairs and Invention Conventions in the upcoming weeks. We are looking for volunteers who would be interested in participating as judges to help these students potentially go on to the County fair.

Westlake Elementary School Science Fair
Thursday, February 7th, 2019


1000 High St, Santa Cruz, CA 95060
8 am - 12 pm (Coffee and snacks provided)

8:00am: Judges arrive and begin review of posterboards
8:30am: Judges meeting in the MUR to review procedures and answer any questions
9:00am: Student presentations, 15-20 minutes each
11:30am: Judges will have some remaining time to wrap up their scores.

    • We are happy to help guide and assist with the grad school application process from. Let's see if we can help you. Come in with essay questions and/or general questions about recommendation letters, etc...

It's also a great way to meet new friends and build a strong network as you move forward in your education and career. We keep attendance and provide students demonstrating consistent involvement in the chapter preferential opportunities and benefits. Don't forget to sign up for outreach events**

  • Welcome new students, we will help you find a community, study buddies, and guidance to navigate undergrad and be successful.
  • Fall quarter is going to be hectic for seniors! We want to help guide you with applications (graduate school, internships, post-bacs, etc...)
